Mission Statement

The mission of the public works department is to provide the highest quality services to the residents of the City in a cost effective and efficient manner through the prudent use of resources technology, teamwork and coordination with other departments and service providers.


Parking After 3" Snowfall

It is unlawful to park any vehicle on any public street in the City Limits at any time after 24 hours have elapsed following a snowfall of three inches (3") or more until the snow and ice on the public street has been plowed from curb to curb.  

Any vehicle parked in violation of this order is subject to be towed.  Any person violating this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of $25.00.  


Civic Water Treatment Plant Improvements

Construction of Improvements to the City of La Salle's Civic Water Treatment Plant was financed by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF). The SRF program is administered by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and receives a portion of its money to fund these types of projects from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This project includes updates to the disinfection system, HVAC system, and filtration system. Once complete, this project will improve water quality for area residents and businesses in the City of La Salle by maintaining the City's potable water infrastructure. SRF programs operate in each state to provide communities the resources necessary to build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure that protects one of our most valuable resources: water.


Public Water System Improvements

Construction of Improvements to the City of La Salle's Public Water System were financed by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF). The SRF program is administered by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and receives a portion of its money to fund these types of projects from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This project includes the construction of improvements to the 9th Street Pump Station and drilling New Public Water Supply Well #8. Once complete, these projects will improve water quality for area residents and businesses in the City of La Salle by maintaining the City's potable water infrastructure. SRF programs operate in each state to provide communities the resources necessary to build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure that protects one of our most valuable resources: water.


Civic Road Water Tower Improvements

Construction of Improvements to the City of La Salle's Civic Road Water Tower was financed by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF). The SRF program is administered by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and receives a portion of its money to fund these types of projects from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This project includes the removal of the exterior coating of the Civic Road Water Tower, recoating the exterior surfaces of the water tower, and other minor improvements. Once complete, this project will improve water quality for area residents and businesses in the City of La Salle by maintaining the City's potable water infrastructure. SRF programs operate in each state to provide communities the resources necessary to build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure that protects one of our most valuable resources: water.


Wastewater Treatment Plant Aerobic Digester Conversion

Construction of Improvements to the City of La Salle's South Wastewater Treatment Plant was financed by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF). The SRF program is administered by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and receives a portion of its money to fund these types of projects from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This project includes the conversion of an existing anaerobic digester to an aerobic digester and associated improvements to the Digester Control Building. Once complete, this project will improve water quality for area residents and businesses in the City of La Salle by maintaining the City's wastewater infrastructure. SRF programs operate in each state to provide communities the resources necessary to build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure that protects one of our most valuable resources: water.
