Brent Bader

Director of Public Relations and Community Development

Deputy City Clerk Brent Bader also serves as the city's Director of Public Relations and Community Development. Brent was hired by the city of La Salle in May 2020. He is a graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and previously worked as a news reporter for the Times Newspaper in Ottawa. Brent's responsibilities include serving as the city's FOIA officer, grant writing and grant application, improving social media communication, record retention, heading events such as the city’s farmers market and providing clerical support for all of the city's boards and commissions.

Brent has said his office can be viewed as the "information help desk" for the community and those with questions are encouraged to give him a call.
