"Waltzing Australia" at La Salle Public Library
On Tuesday, October 13th, at 6:00 p.m. the La Salle Public Library will virtually host author and photographer, Cynthia Clampitt, when she presents, "Waltzing Australia."
From sophisticated cities to rugged outback, desert to rainforest, Great Barrier Reef to ancient inland ranges, Australia offers an often-surprising kaleidoscope of memorable experiences. The country is a splendid destination with friendly people, astonishing landscapes, strange animals, great wineries, abundant birdlife, and rich history. In this intriguing and engaging presentation, Cynthia Clampitt will focus on places visited during the six month, 20,000 mile journey that is the subject of her award-winning book, Waltzing Australia. Far more than a mere travelogue, this fascinating presentation will explore Australian culture, history, geography, and lore. At the end of the program, Cynthia will answer questions via live chat.
Cynthia Clampitt is a writer, photographer, and food historian. She is the author of the award-winning travel narrative, Waltzing Australia, which is supported by a blog of the same name.
