"STEM Challenge: Cocoa Craters" at the La Salle Library

Where:
La Salle Public Library

When
Wednesday, July 24, 2019

On Wednesday, July 24th at 2:00 p.m. the La Salle Public Library will host, "STEM Challenge: Cocoa Craters," for youth ages 6 and up.

Our Moon is covered in craters.   From our vantage point on Earth, some of the craters overlap, while others nest, like concentric circles.  Can you tell which craters are the oldest?  In this fun, hands-on science activity, participants will experiment with mass, velocity, angle of impact and ejecta patterns, when they explore the formation of craters.

This program is free and open to the public.  Due to space and supplies, it does require registration and is limited to 20 participants.  For more information, or to register, call the Library at 815-223-2341 or visit our website or Facebook page for online registration.   The La Salle Public Library is located at 305 Marquette, La Salle, and is ADA compliant and welcoming.
