"Monarch Mitigation" at La Salle Public Library
On Tuesday, September 29th at 6:00 p.m. the La Salle Public Library will virtually host Lisa Sons, IDNR Natural Resource Coordinator and University of Illinois Extension Master Naturalist, when she presents "Monarch Migration."
Monarch butterflies fly south every fall to overwinter in the woodlands of Mexico. The return, or their grandchildren return to us in Illinois every late spring and early summer. During the presentation on Illinois state insect, Lisa Sons will go over the life cycle, habitat, and migration of this fascinating creature. At the end of the program, Lisa will answer answer audience questions via live chat.
