"Stop Motion Lab: The Director's Chair" at the La Salle Public Library
On Tuesday, July 16th at 1:30 p.m., the La Salle Public Library will host, "Stop Motion Lab: The Director's Chair," for youth ages 10 through 14 years old. Stop action combines both storytelling and physical manipulation of objects to make animated cinematic shorts.
In this creative STEMS workshop, participants will create a story and physical characters using a variety of materials. Characters will then interact with each other and the environment created by the storyteller. The stop action technique of the camera will generate a short animation of the story.
This program is free and open to the public but does require registration and is limited to 20 participants. To register, call the Library at 815-223-2341 or visit the Library's website or Facebook page for online registration. The Library is located at 305 Marquette St., La Salle.
