"Oh Humanity! The Hindenburg Disaster" at La Salle Library
On Tuesday, September 18th at 6:00 p.m., the La Salle Public Library will host Actor Historian, Terry Lynch, when he presents, "Oh Humanity! The Hindenburg Disaster."
In this unique and informative program, Terry Lynch, a nationally known actor who specializes in historical portrayal, will take on the persona of WLS reporter, Herb Morrison. On May 6th, 1937, Morrison was sent to Lakehurst Naval Air Station in New Jersey to cover the first anniversary of transatlantic passenger service. What he witnessed that day turned out to be one of the greatest disasters of the 20th century. Terry, as Morrison, will explain the historical significance of the dirigible Hindenburg, as well as recount the horrific details of the day.
