"Celebrate Illinois in Song: Do-It-Yourself Musical Concert" with Anna Stange

On Thursday, June 14th, La Salle Public Library will host folk singer, Anna Stange, when she shares her favorite Illinois songs to celebrate the bicentennial.   There's been a lot of history in the making over the past 200 years, and there's a wealth of good, home-grown songs that everyone can sing or play.   

As part of her "back-up" band, Anna is inviting community members, adults and kids, to participate in this musical concert!  All instruments and levels are welcome....don't be shy!   If you would like to play in the band, please register by calling the Library at 815-223-2341 by Friday, June 1st.  Anna will tailoring music based on the individual's instrument and skill level, so there will be no music to purchase.  Rehearsal for the band begins at 6:00 pm, with the concert beginning at 7:00 pm.
