Free Tax Assistance at La Salle Public Library

Free Tax Assistance at La Salle Public Library.  On Tuesday, February 13th and continuing every Tuesday through April 10th, the La Salle Public Library will host a free tax assistance program.   Experienced tax preparers from AARP will be available, by appointment, to assist low and middle-income families and senior citizens with filing their tax returns.  

Appointments are available on a "first-come, first serve" basis, and can be made by calling the Library at 815-223-2341.   

All federal and state forms will be filed electronically.   Individuals are asked to bring their 2016 tax paperwork, a photo I.D., all income for 2017 taxes, Social Security card, and Proof of Insurance, if not covered by Medicare.
