Family Night Eclipse Safety Make Your Pinhole Viewer
On Thursday, July 20th at 6:00 p.m. the La Salle Public Library will host a "You're the Scientist" Family Night. Participants will discuss the upcoming solar eclipse and make Safety Pinhole Viewers for safe solar eclipse watching by observing a projected image of the eclipse. Using a viewer is one way to protect eyes when viewing a truly awesome sky show. Families should arrange to have an empty cereal box for each participating child.
This is a free program, open to the public, but especially for families with kids ages 6 and up. Space is limited to 30 children, registration is required. For more information or to register contact the Library at 815-223-2341. www.lasalle.lib.il.us
