"Gingerbread Decorating Workshops at the La Salle Public Library"

On Saturday, November 16th, at 10:00 a.m. and again, at 2:00 p.m., the La Salle Public Library will offer a special Holiday Family Weekend workshop.  Beginning with pre-made "gingerbread" houses constructed using graham crackers and royal icing.  "Welcome to Gingerbread Lane," lets participants get right into the fun of decorating.   All supplies will be furnished along with instructions and easy, basic techniques and tips.   The program is geared to children five years and older.   All children in attendance must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  

Because space is limited to 25 children per workshop, this program will require registration.  Each workshop will run for two hours and begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and Noon, and at 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Registration via phone or in-person is required no later than Saturday, November 9th, at 5:00 p.m. to allow staff construction of the basic houses.   The La Salle Public Library is located at 305 Marquette St., La Salle.  For more information, or to register, contact the Library at 815-223-2341.
