"I am a Scientist" Youth Program at La Salle Public Library

Where:
La Salle Public Library

When
Saturday, May 26, 2018

The May "I am a Scientist!" at the La Salle Public Library is especially for children, ages 4 through 9, with a parent or adult caregiver.   These approximately hour-long programs are designed to provide children with fun hands-on science learning that gives children the confidence to explore and discover.

On Saturday, May 26th, at 10:00 am, the Library will host "Sail Away Science."  In this program, participants become "shipwrights," designing, and racing their boats against the clock for a "personal best" time! Participants will build a sailboat or a motorboat, and discover design elements that can improve their race times.  Science Facilitator, Laura Robinson, will help kids get their crafts sea-worthy.   Boats will then be tested and refined.

This program is free and open to the public.   The La Salle Public Library is located at 305 Marquette, La Salle.   For more information contact the Library at 815-223-2341.
