"A Photographic Review of the Middle East: Turkey"

On Tuesday, February 20th at 6:00 p.m. the La Salle Public Library will host Historian, REsearcher and Traveler, Mark Walczynski when he presents the first of a series of programs entitled "A Photographic Review of the Middle East."  The first program will feature Turkey. 

The Middle East has had a powerful influence on the Western Civilization.  In ancient times, the Greeks and Romans established colonies the Middle East; Judaism, Christianity, and Islam began as Middle Eastern religions; and the earliest Greek philosophers, forerunners of today's scientists studied the natural world in the region more than two millennia before Europe's Scientific Revolution.
