"On the Move: Rube Goldberg Machines at the La Salle Public Library"
On Friday, June 28th, and Saturday, June 29th, at 10:00 a.m., the La Salle Public Library will host Dorene Data from IVCC when she facilitates a two-day engineering workshop, for youth, ages 11 through 14, about Rube Goldberg machines. Rube Goldberg machines are intentionally designed to perform a simple task in an indirect and often, overcomplicated fashion. Youth will have some silly fun with serious engineering designing, building and testing wild and crazy Rube Goldberg machines.
This workshop is a paired activity; participants must attend both days. This program is free and open to the public but does require registration, and is limited to 20 participants. To register, call the Library at 815-223-2341 or visit the Library's website or Facebook for online registration. The La Salle Library is located at 305 Marquette St., La Salle.
