La Salle Grows...Heirloom Seed Program

On Tuesday, May 1st, at 6:00 p.m. the La Salle Public Library will host gardener, community activist, and folksinger, Anna Stange, when she presents, "La Salle Grows...Heirloom Seeds at La Salle Library."  

In this hands-on program, especially for adults, participants will prepare soil, plant an array of seeds to take home and learn about the proper way to transplant seedlings to grow a healthy harvest.   Anna Stange, a longtime pioneer of library seed gardens will answer gardening questions, and will provide background for the "seed library movement" in public libraries.
