Illinois State Symbols with Forest Park Nature Center at La Salle Library
On Thursday, July 19th at 6:00 p.m., the La Salle Public Library will host Forest Park Nature Center from Peoria Heights, when they present, "Illinois State Symbols."
We live in a state that is home to hundred-year-oak-trees, magnificent monarch butterflies, colorful reptiles and amphibians, and a strange fossilized carnivore that hasn't been found anywhere in the world. In this intriguing program, learn about some of our state's official symbols, and discover features of our natural world that make Illinois a place like no other. The audience will have a chance at meeting a live Illinois animal up close.
This program is free and open to the public, and is made possible through funding by the Alvin C. Carus Trust. For more information, contact the Library at 815-223-2341.
