On Wednesday, July 18th from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the public is welcome to visit the Illinois Natural History Survey Traveling Science Center at the La Salle Public Library.
This INHS Traveling Science Center is a 320 square foot mobile center for youth and adults that features informative and engaging, hands-on exhibits about bio-diversity and natural resources that Illinois calls its own. The Center's interactive exhibits help visitors learn about habitats, and plant and animal species in Illinois. Interchangeable educational panels, stunning displays, props, and handouts complete the experience.
Jennifer Mui, a Naturalist from the University of Illinois will be available to answer questions. Jennifer is a herpetologist by training, having studied pond-breeding amphibians before finding her passion for sharing her love of nature with the public. Over the past 12 years, she has brought the INHS Traveling Science Center to schools, libraries, and events across the State of Illinois.
The center will be located in the Library's parking lot. Additional parking can be found on Marquette, or in Trinity Catholic Academy's lots. For more information, contact the Library at 815-223-2341.
