"Flora of the Illinois Valley" at the La Salle Public Library

On Tuesday, October 9th at 6:00 p.m. Master Gardner, Nancy Jasiek, from the University of Illinois Extension Office will present "Flora of the Illinois Valley."  For avid gardeners and for folks simply interested in learning more about the Illinois River Valley, this program provides both a brief history of plants in the area and an overview of the factors that contributed to their successful growth.  Ms Jasiek will discuss many of the common plants as well as those that are considered endangered and she will provide suggestions for including some of these plants in home landscapes.
