"Colorful Spring - Earth Day for Kids"
On Monday, April 22nd, at 2:00 p.m. the La Salle Public Library will host an Earth Day workshop for youth ages eight and up. Participants will use acrylic paints to colorfully decorate a chalkboard painted terra cotta flower pot. They will use the decorated pot for planting a beautiful spring floral plant to take home. This charming spring activity will be a sure sign that spring has come and that summer is soon to follow! The chalkboard finish lets youth personalize their flower pots with messages and art.
The workshop will be two hours and will begin at 2:00 p.m. This program is free, open to the public but requires registration, as space is limited to 30 participants. To register, please call the Library at 815-223-2341, or register online: https://form.jotform.com/91028723176154. All parents are welcome and encouraged to participate in the fun. Youth will also receive a gift book, courtesy of First Book and a take-home snack, courtesy of District 122 La Salle schools.
Funding for this program is made possible by District 122 La Salle Schools and Home Depot.
