La Salle hosts sealed bid auction of property/results
NOTICE OF SALE OF PROPERTY
OWNED BY THE CITY OF LASALLE,
AND INVITATION TO BID THEREON
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Corporate Authorities of the City of LaSalle will receive sealed bids for the potential purchase, under successful bid, with a minimum bid required as indicated herein for each item, subject to the City’s reserving the right to reject any and all bids, the following described items of personal property, some of which are presently available for viewing outside in the parking lot across from 500 Second Street LaSalle, Illinois 61301, while smaller items are available for viewing between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. upon request, all subject to the following terms and conditions:
- A minimum bid in regard to each respective item shall be as follows in regard to each of the following described items:

B. Sealed bids for the purchase of the above items are hereby invited and will be received at the Mayor’s office at LaSalle City Hall, 745 Second Street, LaSalle, IL 61301, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and until 3:00 p.m. on or before the 14th day of June, 2021 for the opening of bids. Said proposals shall be addressed to:

Any bids sent by mail must be received by 3:00 p.m. on the 14th day of June, 2021.
C. Each item shall be bid separately together with a specific description of the item bid upon consistent with the above listing of each respective item, together with the bid amount, and the name, address and phone number of the bidder.
All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at LaSalle City Hall at 3 p.m. on the 14th day of June, 2021. Any potential sale of any of said items shall be “as is” with no warranty of any kind including but not limited to there being no warranty as to merchantability and/or fitness for any particular purpose. Acceptance of the bid shall be subject to the exercise of the reasonable discretion of the Superintendent of Public Works and the Chairman of the LaSalle Finance Committee jointly. Any successful bidder must be prepared to pay cash and remove the item within forty-eight (48) hours of being notified of the acceptance of a bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and also reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. The Superintendent of Public Works and the Chairman of the Finance Committee jointly, on behalf of the City of LaSalle, also reserve the right to review and study any and all bids to make a determination within fourteen (14) days after the bids have been opened, by public read, as to whether to award a bid and/or bids on such conditions as the Superintendent of Public Works and the Chairman of the Finance Committee jointly deem appropriate in regard to any bid, and/or again to reject any and/or all of the bids.
