Hispanic or Latino of any race were 12.44% of the population.
In the city, the population was spread out with 23.10% under the age of 18, 6.87% from 18 to 24, 25.96% from 25 to 44, 26.11% from 45 to 64, and 17.03% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39.86 years. For every 100 females there were 99.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.26 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $37,792, and the median income for a family was $55,694. The per capita income for the city was $22,175. About 12.32% of families and 15.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 45.4% of those under age 18.
